Qvest and STACKIT partner on sovereign media cloud development

The collaboration aims to further develop the STACKIT sovereign cloud system enabling productions to ensure compliance with EU regulations while boosting flexibility and scalability

Qvest and STACKIT have formed a strategic partnership for Europe.

Working in collaboration, the two companies will further develop the STACKIT cloud system to meet the growing needs for sovereign solutions of media companies across the continent. In the face of increasing geopolitical uncertainty and tightening data protection regulations, the sovereign media cloud aims to provide users with greater security and control without compromising existing strategies and technology partnerships.

Providing multi-cloud architecture and hybrid transformation models, the solution enables flexible integration allowing users to freely develop flexible and scalable digital business models to meet the requirements of media workflows. Data and applications are stored and hosted in Europe to ensure operational independence and regulatory security, said the companies.

Dr Frank Hoffmann, principal at Qvest, said, “As one of the leading providers of consulting, system integration, and managed services for media technology, the area of cloud transformation has become one of the most important components in our customers’ projects. That is why we have already established numerous partnerships with international cloud providers for media-related applications at a high technological level in recent years. We are now expanding this spectrum together with STACKIT for a sovereign media cloud that meets European standards. Our common goal is to provide companies with cloud solutions that are not only secure and GDPR-compliant, but also innovative, flexible enough to fit into existing cloud strategies, and create real entrepreneurial freedom.”

Bernie Wagner, executive vice president sales and marketing at Schwarz Digits and CEO of STACKIT, added, “With Qvest as our partner, we offer media companies the opportunity to further develop their digital business models in a targeted manner without having to compromise on data sovereignty and compliance with European standards. This cooperation is further proof of the importance of partnership strength and the shared vision of sovereign digitalisation in Europe.”
