Amazon’s cloud business generated $3.54 billion in operating income during Q3 2020, up 56 per cent.
In fact, AWS generated around 57 per cent of Amazon’s operating operating income during the quarter, and the company derived 12 per cent of its revenue from its cloud business.
AWS saw a 29 per cent increase in revenue during Q3 2020 as demand remained high due to the on-going pandemic, while venue reached $11.60 billion.
During the quarter, AWS introduced launched Interactive Video Service (Amazon IVS), which uses the same technology that powers Twitch, while AWS Elemental MediaLive began supporting Advanced Video Coding (AVC) for ultra-high definition (UHD) outputs.
