The Ashes bowls onto BT Sport’s Matchday Experience

Cricket fans will be able to re-watch highlights such as boundaries, wickets, dropped catches and more, as part of the app's timeline feature

BT Sport is adding its coverage of this winter’s Ashes between Australia and England to its Matchday Experience.

Fans will be able to re-watch highlights such as boundaries, wickets, dropped catches and more, as part of the app’s timeline feature.

As well as being available on phones and tablets, the BT Sport app is available on Apple TV, Android TV, Xbox, NOW TV, Sony Playstation, Amazon Fire TV, Roku players, Samsung Smart TV or Netgem TV.

Viewers can also attach a Google Chromecast or ‘Chromecast with Google TV’ and stream the app from laptop, tablet or phone to a TV set.

BT Sport launched Matchday Experience in October 2020 as a way of offering football fans a more personalised experience.

Speaking about the addition of the Ashes to the app, Simon Green, head of BT Sport said: “There is nothing quite like the rivalry of the Ashes.  This winter we are looking forward to bringing all the action from Australia to cricket fans in the UK and we hope to bring some escapism to those unlucky England fans who had hoped to be there.  Alongside comprehensive live coverage we’ll make sure that everyone can easily get their fix, whether that’s watching on the app using our interactive timeline, our daily live breakfast show, podcast or highlights on TV or the app.”
