Sky Deutschland and Vodafone are joining forces to broadcast pre- and post-game coverage of a Bundesliga.2 match over 5G.
The game between Fortuna Düsseldorf and VFL Osnabrück takes place on Wednesday 16th December 2020.
Fans will be able to watch the match in 9:16 ratio via their smartphones.
The production will use images from both wireless cameras and mobile phones that are transmitted directly to a virtual studio in the Cloud and then onto the viewer’s TV or phone screen.
Vodafone will use network slicing in order to ensure the transmission 5G is reliable.
