Haivision has updated its Makito ONE platform to support live video contribution over bonded cellular networks through integration with the CellLink 5G external modem and antenna array.
According to the company, Makito ONE is the first device of its kind to leverage cellular
The Haivision CellLink 5G modem and antenna array features three 5G modems and dual antennas for MIMO 2×2 performance. Encased in a weather‑resistant enclosure with magnetic pad and thread mounts, CellLink 5G can be used on vehicles, poles, or buildings and connects to Makito ONE via standard Ethernet.
The addition of CellLink 5G also enables Makito ONE to contribute video over multiple cellular modems leveraging SST protocol, allowing broadcasters to build robust contribution workflows with greater throughput and network load balancing across wired and wireless network paths.
“Resilient and reliable connectivity is essential for live video contribution, particularly when operating in challenging network environments,” said Jean‑Marc Racine, chief product officer at Haivision.
“CellLink 5G extends resilient cellular connectivity across our live broadcast contribution ecosystem – and now, with the Makito ONE integration, we’re
