Jeff Bezos has revealed Amazon Prime has reached 200 million subscribers worldwide.

The last time the company revealed subscriber numbers was in January 2020, when it announced 150 million subs.

However, it didn’t reveal how many of those subscribers watch the video side of the service.

In comparison, Netflix had around 204 million worldwide subscribers at the end of 2020, and Disney Plus recently announced it had passed the 100 million mark.

The numbers were announced in the company’s 2020 annual report, which also revealed the company spent $11 billion on TV series, film and music in the last year, up 41 per cent from 2019.
