Social media platform TikTok is testing allowing users to upload 60-minute videos.
The feature is being rolled out to a select number of users, and TikTok told TechCrunch it is not currently planning to make it available to all accounts.
TikTok has slowly been expanding the length of videos it allows users to publish, with general users able to upload 10 minutes and content creators allowed to upload between 20-30 minutes.
The increased time limit is to give creators more flexibility in the content they create, TikTok said.
It could also lead to creators uploading 30 or 60-minute TV episodes to the platform, helping broadcasters reach the younger audience they desperately crave.
In its Media Nations: UK 2023 report, Ofcom found that 15-24-year-olds spend an average of an hour a day on TikTok.
