Viewers in France will be able to watch this month’s Winter Olympics with enhanced pictures and sound.
Having previously broadcast Paris 2024 in native UHD HDR, France 2 will deliver Milano Cortina in HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
On the audio side, viewers with Dolby AC-4 compatible televisions will be able to choose between a traditional mix and ambient sound, without commentary.
“Following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, France Télévisions continues its commitment to UHD for its viewers and is proud to offer the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games in native UHD,” said Jacques Donat-Bouillud, director of distribution at France Télévisions.
“With exceptional picture quality and more immersive sound, experience these Olympic Games as if you were on the track or ice rink with the athletes, and enjoy this exceptional spectacle.”
