France Télévisions will mark the start of the Winter Olympics with the launch of a new digital sports channel that aims to bring fans closer to the action.
France TV Sport aims to recreate the Twitch livestream experience, with viewers able to interact with presenters and pundits via ‘The Live Zone’, a live chat.

The channel will officially launch on 4th February and will initially focus on coverage of Milano Cortina 2026. Following the Games, it will be used for the Six Nations, Roland Garros tennis and the French Cup. According to France Télévisions, a total of 2,000 hours of live broadcasting is planned for 2026.
The broadcaster said France TV Sport will remain on air until 2030.
“In 2025, 60 million French people watched sports on France Télévisions,” said Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, director of channels and programmes at France Télévisions.
“With this new free digital channel, accessible on france.tv, we aim to continue our public service role, promoting free and universal access for all.”
