Atomos has debuted its new Shinobi GO camera monitor.
The high-brightness, 5-inch 1500nit monitor is the latest member of the Shinobi family and includes features such as false colour, histogram, waveform, zebra and vector scope. Aiming to provide flexibility in deployment, Shinobi GO can be powered either by separately purchased Sony NP-F batteries or via the USB-C port using a power bank.

A locking connector adaptor for the HDMI and USB-C ports prevents accidental disconnection during shoots, when used together with Atomos locking cables. The monitor shares the same size sunhood and accessories as Atomos’ Shinobi II, enabling compatibility between cables, batteries, rigs and other attachments.
Jeromy Young, Atomos CEO, said, “Shinobi GO is designed for people who either do not need camera control or own a camera that supports it. It offers a high-quality, daylight viewable monitor at an affordable price. Priced at just USD/EUR 249 excluding sales taxes, Shinobi GO provides exactly what photographers and videographers need without compromising on quality, despite its lower cost. And it comes from a brand trusted by professionals worldwide.”
