Atomos has announced Peter Barber has been appointed as new CEO.
Joining the company as chief operating officer and executive board director last year, Barber stepped into the role on 3rd May, replacing Jeromy Young, who remains with Atomos as a non-executive director.
Formerly a co-founder of Blackmagic Design, Barber’s careers spans more than three decades in the video production industry. His experience in the business and technology sectors and leadership capabilities position him to drive the company through its next growth phase, said Atomos.
Commenting on his appointment, Barber said, “I would like to thank Jeromy and the board for their support and confidence in me. I am honoured to be appointed CEO at this important time in Atomos’ journey. I do not underestimate the challenges that lie ahead, including shifting market dynamics and external factors such as fluctuating tariffs in the USA. However, the work we have done over the past year to rebuild and restructure the company has laid a strong foundation for the future. We are creating a more agile, resilient organisation — one that is better positioned to navigate change and seize new opportunities.
