Spanish broadcaster has selected VSN as their partner for a new project aimed at studying the process of news generation with Cloud tools.
VSN’s MAM will manage media in the Cloud.
The aim of the project is to explore capturing content through digital devices (lightweight and cellphone cameras) that are permanently connected. VSNExplorer MAN will manage the generated media and explore the possibilities that these digital flows offer, such as metadata extraction or automatic subtitling.
The VSNExplorer Media Asset Management system has successfully met all the requirements requested by RTVE, which included, for example, the reception of files via pc or ftp, their storage, customised management and distribution in the Cloud, web access to the system, the configuration of different user profiles that could work simultaneously and collaboratively and the sending of content to news production systems or for direct publication in social networks.
Cerberus Tech updates Livelink for remote live delivery
Cerberus Tech has updated its Linelink SaaS live delivery platform to enable users to self-manage live feeds from any location.
Livelink is an IP delivery solution for transporting live linear and OTT content from point to single-point or multi-point. It allows users to self-manage their live content for delivery to any destination worldwide by utilising Cloud environments available in every region. It is Cloud agnostic and compatible with any transport protocol including Zixi, RIST, SRT, HLS and RTMP.
Chris Clarke, CEO, Cerberus, said, “The return to live sports events and the backlog of matches has meant that the existing infrastructure is struggling to keep up with demand and event concurrency. Livelink enables broadcasters and production companies to be the architects of their own environment, delivering feeds extremely cost-effectively and with very quick set-up times. With the situation changing week to week, Livelink offers a pay-as-you-go, adaptive solution that broadcasters can rely on.”
