Beijing 2022 International Broadcasting Centre work completed

Beijing 2022 expects to welcome 12,000 broadcasters for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games

The broadcasting centre for next year’s Winter Olympics in Beijing has been handed over to the organising committee following the completion of its building work.

The Main Media Centre houses both the main press centre and the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC), and expects to host around 12,000 broadcasters who will travel to Beijing for both the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The announcement was made by the Beijing Major Projects Construction Headquarters Office.

The building has been built with sustainability in mind, and will use renewable energy. After the Games, it will be converted into a dedicated complex for hosting large-scale international business events.

The Winter Olympics open on 4th February 2022.
