Guntermann & Drunck develops compact KVM tool

VisionXS will initially launch for DisplayPort UHR, followed by devices for HDMI and DVI-I

German KVM manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck has developed a new compact high-performance KVM-over-IP extender for resolutions up to 4K60.

The VisionXS uses standard networks at up to 10Gbit/s, which the company says means video and image content will require “significantly less” compression.

The extender will initially launch for DisplayPort UHR, followed by devices for HDMI and DVI-I.

The VisionXS comes with an integrated IP-MUX feature, which G&D says enables it to target IP addresses of up to 20 computer sources without the need for additional hardware.

It can be used in conjunction with G&D’s matrix systems, with users able to operate VisionXS products in pairs as an extender line, or integrating them into matrix installations.
