Miniature weatherproof lipstick camera

The new second-generation CV225 IP67 Lipstick Camera succeeds Marshall’s popular CV200 camera, with greater image clarity, enriched true colours, enhanced low light performance and the added ability to remotely adjust without reliance on screen display menus.

Aimed primarily at outside broadcast use, for sports, reality shows or all-weather installations, its IP67-rated weatherproof design means it can withstand dust, sand or full submersion up to 1m for 30 minutes.

The CV225 uses a new 1/3-inch high-speed 2.5 megapixel sensor to pack with a single full-sized 3G/HD-SDI (BNC) output in 1920x1080i, 1920x1080p and 1280x720p resolutions at 60/59.94/50/30/29.97/25 frames per second (with two models, for 50Hz and 60Hz countries).

New proprietary pixel technology is claimed to give the CV225 ‘the lowest noise ratio on the market today’, resulting in sharp colour images, even in very low light conditions, as low as 0.2 lux in
colour. It also draws very

low power in full 3G SMPTE 424M (2.97Gbps) 1080p modes. A 3m breakout cable allows for remote control and adjustment via Sony VISCA over RS485 twisted-pair wire, and it is compatible with the Marshall CV-RCP-100 Touchscreen RCP Unit using 3-pin XLR cable.
