Camera support-specialist Sachtler has launched the latest generation of its Ace fluid head systems with the Ace M Mk II and Ace XL Mk II.
Weighing in at 4.4kg and able to support payloads of 0 ─ 4kg, the Ace Mk II includes an aluminium tripod with carry handle and choice of spreader, and features a fluid head which allows operators to work with smooth drag adjustments and five-steps of fast counterbalance.
Meanwhile, the Ace XL Mk II is designed to support heavier digital cine-style cameras. It supports payloads from 0 ─ 8kg and has an extra four steps of counterbalance to balance larger and more accessorised rigs. Ace XL features an illuminated level bubble plus a removable threaded stud for users to easily swap from a tripod to a slider. The head is available in a range of tripod systems, including options with flowtech75, the world’s fastest tripod.
All 75mm tripods sold with Ace Mk II now feature three mounting points on the tripod bowl, enabling the attachment of accessories.
