Disney Plus is faring better than Apple TV+ with audiences, according to a YouGov poll in partnership with Variety Intelligence Platform.
From a survey of 1,182 US consumers, 76 per cent gave Disney Plus a four or five out of five for satisfaction, compared with 48 per cent for Apple TV+.
The survey also revealed high levels of satisfaction for Netflix (74 per cent), Amazon Prime Video (66 per cent), and Hulu (64 per cent).
Apple TV+ was found to lag behind these services in product design, with 53 per cent giving the interface four or five out of five, compared with 77 per cent for Disney Plus.
Variety noted that Apple TV+ is housed within the Apple TV app, whereas Disney Plus is laid out in scrollable rows “more reminiscent of Netflix.”
“This may help explain why survey respondents indicated that it took them longer to find content to watch on Apple TV+ than on Disney Plus,” said Variety.
