Thomson Broadcast agrees deal to acquire GatesAir

Thomson Broadcast, headquartered in Paris, France has deployed more than 50,000 pieces of equipment in more than 170 countries

Thomson Broadcast has agreed a deal to acquire GatesAir from an affiliate of The Gores Group for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is subject to regulatory filings and is expected to close in the second half of 2022.

Thomson Broadcast, headquartered in Paris, France has deployed more than 50,000 pieces of equipment in more than 170 countries, actively participating in the evolution of television and radio transmission.

GatesAir, which is currently celebrating its centenary, said it has recently seen strong growth, coming off a successful participation in the North America Spectrum Repack programme.
