Televideo assets go up for auction

The assets on sale include outside broadcast trailers and rigid trucks, Sony and Panasonic camera channels, Vinten and Sachtler grip, EVS video servers, outside broadcast units, and monitoring

Assets from Televideo, which went into administration in August, will be up for auction over a two-day period, beginning on 19 December 2023.

The sale is being organised by CA Global Partners – which specialises in asset management and capital recovery, Hickman Shearer – a capital asset valuation, management and used equipment sales company, and Walker Singleton – a UK-based firm of charter surveyors specialising in the disposal of surplus industrial assets.

It will involve a selection of over 800 pieces of outside broadcast and TV production equipment which is being sold on behalf of Televideo’s administrator, Hart Shaw.

The assets include outside broadcast trailers and rigid trucks, Sony and Panasonic camera channels, Vinten and Sachtler grip, EVS video servers, outside broadcast units, and monitoring. The first day catalogue of assets is now online, and items will be available to view onsite prior to the public auction.

“Televideo has a history of 47 years of working with clients including the BBC, Sky Sports, Channel 4, Netflix and many others.” said Dan Main, director of CA Global Partners. “The loss of any company like this is blow to the industry, as well as the local community, but by enabling the assets of the company to be bought at auction, we hope to provide others both locally and around the world with the opportunity to buy high quality equipment at a significant discount on the new price. We frequently see the positive impact this equipment can have on emerging businesses, and we know the equipment we sell from the closure of Televideo will be no exception.”
