Portuguese sports network Sport TV will televise live coverage of every round of the 2013/2015 FIA Formula E Championship. In a deal brokered by the MP & Silva, Sport TV will air each race live with all shows featuring race coverage together with a round-up of the event’s practice and qualifying sessions, plus all news, features and driver interviews.
The network will also televise a 60-minute Formula E highlights programme to review the action from each event.

Formula E will play an important role in the future of motorsport,” commented Nuno Ferreira, director of Sport TV Portugal.

Formula E is the FIA’s new fully electric single-seater championship designed to appeal to a new generation of motorsport fans, whilst increasing interest in electric vehicles and promoting sustainability. Competing entirely on city-centre circuits with races in Malaysia, Uruguay, USA, Monaco, Germany and the UK it uses cars capable of speeds in excess of 150mph. Its 10 teams and 20 drivers feature some of the leading international names in motorsport including Alain Prost and Michael Andretti, along with environmental supporters such as Sir Richard Branson.
