Procam Take 2 enters administration

The company is headquartered in West London, with rental locations in Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and a staff of over 150

Rental company Procam Take 2 has confirmed to TVBEurope that it has called in administrators.

The company is believed to have issued a Notice of Intent on Thursday, with members of staff informed at the end of last week.

Procam’s website has already been deactivated.

TVBEurope has contacted the administrators for further details.

In a statement published on LinkedIn, CEO John Brennan said the company saw a downturn at the end of 2022, in part due to challenges surrounding the PACT/BECTU negotiations and the uncertainty surrounding the writers’ strike in the US.

“With minimal projects on the horizon and a bleak outlook for the remainder of the year, we have made the difficult decision to cease operations in the coming weeks,” he added. “It is with deep sadness that I share this news.”

Procam Take 2 is a leading supplier of camera, grip and lighting equipment to the film and TV industry in the UK.

The company is headquartered in West London, with rental locations in Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and a staff of over 150.

Last year Procam debuted the UK’s largest cinematic outside broadcast truck, OB1.
