Riedel Communications has named Lutz Rathmann as its chief executive officer, with overall responsibility for the company’s product and managed technology divisions.
Rathman returned to Riedel to lead the managed technology division in 2020, having previously held senior roles at the company, including vice director global events and head of project management. Developing new opportunities and partnerships, he has strategically expanded the business and advanced the portfolio for live production and international event solutions. Working with Jan Eveleens, who will retire as CEO of the product division at the end of the year, he has driven close collaboration between the managed technology and product divisions.
Bringing the two divisions into closer alignment, Riedel aims to enhance its product development and live production expertise and drive collaboration across the business. Both divisions will retain their teams and market focus, with the company connecting its sales, service, support and marketing functions in a shared leadership, enabling a more consistent and coordinated approach.

Commeting, Rathman said, “Our customers do not think in terms of internal structures or individual responsibilities. They expect us to understand their challenges and bring the right capabilities together. By aligning product and managed technology more closely and strengthening how we connect with the market, we can turn our combined experience into greater value for customers and partners.”
Riedel also announced Anthony Zuyderhoff will assume the role of chief commercial officer, leading its unified global go-to-market organisation. Currently executive director of global sales, Zuyderhoff aims to unify the company’s customer-facing functions.
“Our ambition is to make Riedel feel like one company at every customer touchpoint,” said Zuyderhoff. “That means connecting our commercial teams more closely, bringing the right expertise to the table earlier, and focusing less on individual products and more on the outcomes our customers want to achieve.”
Thomas Riedel, Riedel Group CEO, said, “Lutz knows our customers, our technologies, and the realities of complex live production. Anthony brings the commercial perspective and market focus needed to translate that strength into a consistent customer experience. Together, they will help us connect our capabilities more effectively and make Riedel easier to engage with, easier to understand, and stronger in the market. I also want to thank Jan for his tremendous contribution to Riedel and am very pleased that we will continue to benefit from his expertise as a consultant.”
