Former BBC CTO joins M2A Media as non-exec director

Matthew Postgate joins the company to provide independent insight and help shape its strategic direction

Matthew Postgate, former BBC chief technology and product officer, is joining cloud-based live video solution company M2A Media as a non-executive director.

He joins the company to provide independent insight and help shape its strategic direction.

At the BBC Postgate was responsible for the corporation’s technology and systems, as well as its range of digital products and initiatives such as BBC iPlayer.

He was also previously controller, research and development at the BBC, and was part of the management team that launched BBC iPlayer.

Marcus Box, co-founder and CEO, M2A Media said, “Matthew brings exceptional leadership experience to the M2A board of directors. Having driven product innovation for the BBC he will provide invaluable strategic insight and independent oversight.
