Eurosport partners with StubHub for online ticketing

Agreement covers Eurosport’s global website and local platforms in Spain, France, Germany, Italy and the UK

StubHub has agreed a deal with Eurosport to become the broadcaster’s online ticketing partner.

Users will now be able to purchase tickets to sporting and entertainment events directly via StubHub, including Champions League, La Liga and Serie A football matches, as well as Wimbledon, the ATP Tour Finals and the Six Nations.

Eurosport said there will also be a bespoke, local ticket offering for visitors to Eurosport’s websites in Spain, France, Germany, Italy and the UK.

Eurosport CEO Peter Hutton said: “This is a great partnership for the millions of fans that visit Eurosport websites across Europe. Through StubHub, we can now offer supporters the opportunity to not only watch and read about their favourite sports, teams and players, but also see them perform in person. Our global homepage – eurosport.com – receives up to 60 million unique visitors per month and this agreement adds even more value to the user experience at a global and local level, in five major markets.”

Ander Michelena, general manager, international, StubHub, added: “A ticket is sold every second on StubHub, a platform that seeks with this agreement to establish itself as the leading platform for European sporting fans.

“We want to increase our commitment to leveraging the potential of our strategic partners to the full in order to reach out to sports fans and offer them access to unique and exciting events around the world.”
