Eurofins Digital Testing launches new cyber security division

Trio of managing directors have been hired to lead the global division

Eurofins Digital Testing has launched a new cyber security division and made a number of key hires to lead its team of nearly 100 security experts.

The Brussels-based company, which helped the UK’s Digital Production Partnership develop and manage their content security and compliance programme, said the new division was “a natural extension” of its testing portfolio.

A trio of managing directors have been hired to lead the global division.

Two European execs are Marcel Mangel, a former CTO at TÜV SÜD Digital Service GmbH, who is based in Germany, and Erik Rutkens, a former KPMG senior exec, based in the Netherlands.

Heading up US operations is Sean Walls, who has led several international cyber security and IT integration companies as well as developing successful security units for other large organisations.

The new team will report to Johan Craeybeckx, the international firm’s business line director.

“We view cyber security as a natural extension to our extensive testing solution portfolio to help our customers address their threats and vulnerabilities,” said Craeybeckx.

“As part of this effort, we have assembled an exceptional leadership team who collectively bring decades of proven and diverse cyber security experiences to bear,” he added.

The new division will offer a range of services for TV operators, manufacturers and device testing specialists, including security assessments, app device and infrastructure testing, compliance services, advisory services, training services and managed services.

The news follows Eurofin’s acquisition of cyber security and IT service firm Insite Groep in June.
