EBU sells Eurovision Services to DUBAG Group

Eurovision Services works with sports federations, right holders and media companies around the world

The European Broadcasting Union has sold its media services provider Eurovision Services to DUBAG Group.

Eurovision Services works with sports federations, right holders and media companies around the world and has presences in North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia, with 250 employees.

The DUBAG Group is a private equity company based in Munich, Germany.

Speaking about the deal, Emanuel Cattanei, partner at DUBAG Group said: “With the takeover of Eurovision Services we extend our portfolio with a promising venture. We are convinced ES will be the first-choice provider for event organisers, media organisations and sport federations. We are looking forward to a successful collaboration with all employees and customers.”

Financial details of the acquisition have not been revealed.

The EBU created Eurovision Services in 2018, stating at the time that it would give greater independence to the EBU’s business arm to enable it to grow.
