Disney remains most valuable media brand

Company has a brand value of $32.6 billion

Disney has again been named the world’s most valuable media brand, with a value of $32.6 billion.

The company is well ahead of its nearest rivals: Fox is valued at $17.0 billion and NBC at $14.9 billion.

The figures are from Brand Finance’s annual list of the 25 most valuable media brands.

Brand Finance suggests the gap between Disney and its rivals is almost certain to grow following Disney’s recent purchase of a majority stake in 21st Century Fox.

Nine of the top 10 brands on the list were American, with the BBC placed in eighth with a value of $5.6 billion.

The fastest rising brand is France’s Canal+, which saw its brand value rise from $1.7 billion to $2.4 billion, a jump of 41 per cent.
