Channel 4 announces shortlist for new national HQ

Seven cities/regions make the cut

Channel 4 has announced the shortlist for its new national headquarters.

The seven cities/regions included are Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Greater Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and West Midlands.

Belfast, Brighton, Newcastle/Gateshead, Nottingham, Sheffield and Stoke-on-Trent make up the possible locations for the broadcaster’s new creative hubs.

‘4 all the UK’ was announced by Channel 4’s CEO Alex Mahon in March.

It will see the broadcaster move out of London to a new national HQ as well as the creation of two new smaller creative hubs in the Nations & Regions.

A final decision on the new locations will be reached by 1st October.
