General manager of Front Porch Digital International, Rino Petricola has been promoted to chief operations officer and general manager, Front Porch Digital.

Bruno Lest has joined 3D Storm as product manager for the LiveXpert product line. He was formerly sales manager for professional video and broadcast at Visualdis, 3D Storm partner and NewTek distributor in France.

BroadStream Solutions has appointed Ben Wolk as president, sales and marketing, and Michael Edwards as VP sales EMEA and Asia. Following the recent acquisition of OASYS, the two appointments have been made to support the businesses growth and to provide greater support to the global customer, partner and reseller base.
Renowned VFX creator Richard Edlund has joined the board of directors at the Devil and Demon Strategy. The winner of seven Academy Awards, Edlund will consult on the development of the Devil and Demon product line to meet the needs of digital artists and studios in entertainment imaging.
Anna Maria Tarantola has been elected as the EBU’s new vice-president. She will help to lead the board alongside president Jean-Paul Philippot, who was re-elected for a fourth consecutive term of office. Tarantola is a former director of the Bank of Italy and has been president of RAI since 2012. “I strongly believe in the role of the EBU and of public service media (PSM), which are vehicles for freedom, democracy, culture and ethical values,” said Tarantola on her appointment.

Multi award-winning producer Carson Black has joined KEO films in the new role of executive producer, drama. Keo will work together with Content Media Corporation to develop scripted material, with Content having first look distribution rights to represent the programming internationally.
L-S-B Broadcast Technologies has added to its product management team with the appointment of Hubert Hubbes.
Midwich has announced the appointment of Iain Campbell as sales director. The new role will see Campbell taking responsibility for sales processes in all divisions of Midwich, focusing on support, service and the overall customer experience.
Mathieu Poussin has joined NETIA as regional sales manager for Europe. Poussin most recently served as a sales engineer for DCI, and earlier held sales and engineering roles at tech industry specialists including HP France, Dell France, and StorageTek.
Orad has added Robert Kakareka and Scott Rogers to its North American operations. Kakareka joins as director of sales, southeast region, having most recently worked for Pixel Power and Miranda Technology. Rogers also has considerable experience with systems integration having spent time with Technical Innovations and Comprehensive Technical Group.
Matthew Shell has left Imagine Communications to join Pebble Beach Systems as proposals and solutions manager. Tom Gittins, sales director at Pebble Beach Systems, welcomed the appointment, saying: “Mat brings a high level of technical expertise, excellent customer-facing skills, and a tenacious, solution-focused attitude to this new role.”
RRSat has appointed a new director of UK sales. In the role, Sue Mitchell will help drive the company’s global focus on the provision of end-to-end broadcast and media solutions, including content preparation, distribution, online video, content management and sports and live events.
Creative software developer The Foundry has announced the appointment of design industry veteran Doreen Lorenzo pictured above) to its board of directors. Lorenzo has been working in the design industry for more than two decades and is now the president of community invention platform Quirky. She spent 16 years at frog design, with seven of those spent as the company president.
Trickbox TV has recruited two new employees as the business continues to expand. Simon Spender joins Trickbox TV as a producer, with a remit to lead and grow the video production side of the business. Following a training programme with Trickbox TV, Liam Minnock will take on the role of junior broadcast engineer.
