Starz is expanding the European footprint of its streaming service Starzplay with a launch in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland
The streamer will be available via its own app as well as on Apple TV.
Starz has also increased its offering on NENT’s streaming service in the region, Viaplay.
“Following our initial successful rollout in 2020, we are excited to expand our footprint in the Nordics, with local viewers now able to access our full offering both directly through the app and via our partners Apple and Viaplay,” said Superna Kalle, president, Starz International.

Starz first launched an international version of Starzplay in the UK, France, Germany, Brazil and Mexico in 2019.
At the end of 2021, the company reported Starzplay’s international OTT subscribers had reached 6.7 million.
