Audinate expands Dante Connect with additional features

The company also announced it has joined the Google Cloud Partner Advantage as a partner in the build engagement model

Audinate Group Limited has announced a range of new additions for its Dante Connect cloud-based audio transport solution.

The Dante Connect suite enables cloud-based broadcast production and provides a platform for A1s and mixing engineers, with connectivity to centralised production tools running on cloud instances.

New features include the addition of WebRTC-powered remote contribution functionality to the existing uncompressed Dante audio transport streams, said the company. The feature allows Dante sources connected to the internet to be captured as an audio source, providing users with a lower bandwidth option to add commentary or any other audio stream to a broadcast. The compressed source is transmitted using WebRTC functionality. Paired with the existing remote monitoring functionality, production staff are offered new options for monitoring, contribution and remote content production.

Audinate also announced it has joined the Google Cloud Partner Advantage as a partner in the build engagement model, which enables users to deploy audio transmission and production with Dante Connect in Google Cloud environments.

Kip Schauer, global head of Media & Entertainment and Gaming Partnerships at Google Cloud said: “Dante Connect on Google Cloud provides broadcasters with more options to meet their production flexibility and cost-saving goals in any deployment configuration. We are proud to have Audinate as a partner serving the demanding broadcast market.”
