Toshiba Europe has unveiled the TD-U series, its first dedicated business display range, with Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) resolution.

Created for 24-hour operation, 7 days a week, the series consists of two 85” models, the TD-U852 and TD-U852TS, with the latter encompassing a touchscreen for interactivity.

The series is designed for those who want to show a near continuous stream of content.

The combination of an Ultra HD resolution and up to a 500 cd(nit) high brightness display ensure colours and content are always portrayed at their optimum. In addition, it possesses a 178 degree viewing angle, which allows for more flexibility in business displays.

The TD-U852TS has an integrated six point IR touch screen, as well as a resistant and strong 2.0 mm Corning Gorilla Glass finish to protect against scratches and cracks when in regular use.

Allen Pestell, senior group product manager for Business Display Solutions at Toshiba Europe, said, “We’re experiencing considerable momentum within our European Business Display division, where we’re constantly investing in product development to meet the needs of our customers. The TD-U Series expands our offering to businesses wanting to maximise customer engagement. From its 24/7 functionality, to the touchscreen capacity offered by the TD-U852TS model, the TD-U delivers vibrant images and a host of interactive opportunities.”

The series comes with a open pluggable specification (OPS) slot available for users to install, maintain and upgrade their displays. This usability extends to a range of input and output connections, including RS-232/LAN control, which gives users the ability to manage the display remotely.

Content administrators can display up to four different full HD content feeds simultaneously in split screen mode via the multiple inputs to communicate a selection of messages at the same time. The series is mountable in both landscape and portrait orientation.
