Teradek has announced the addition of Prism Mobile 5 and Prism Mobile Mk II to its camera-back 4K HEVC video encoder Prism Series.
Featuring 2x integrated high-performance cellular modems (LTE for the Mk II) with private mobile network / CBRS support, twin SIM slots, and an external connection for modem expansion (+1 Node modem), both Prism Mobile 5G and Mk II provide optimal cellular connectivity to enable live streaming or capture for camera-to-cloud workflows. said Teradek.
Prism Mobile, like the Prism Flex, is integrated with several camera-to-cloud platforms, including Frame.io, AVID, Sony C3P, Sony Ci, PIX, and Moxion.
The company added that the lightweight solution also brings the Teradek Reliable Transport (TRT) protocol to bonded cellular workflows for the first time, dynamically adjusting stream buffer size and forward error correction to optimise packet delays across diverse network environments.
