Sony Pictures Television Networks launches on Amazon Channels

AXN, Sony Channel and Animax are now available in Germany and Austria

Sony Pictures Television Networks (SPTN) has agreed a deal with Amazon that will see linear pay-TV channels AXN, Sony Channel and Animax appear on the the Amazon Channels service throughout Germany and Austria. 

Kate Marsh, EVP, SPTN Western Europe international networks division said: “We are delighted to expand distribution of our services in Germany and Austria in this first-time partnership with the Amazon Channels service.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Amazon Prime customers to sample three of Sony Networks’ top content brands which include a wide range of high-quality programming from popular, award-winning TV series to great special interest shows for fan-based audiences through targeted, curated channels as well as on-demand.”

AXN, Sony’s male-action orientated offer, includes exclusive premiere franchises Power, Kingdom and Snatch.

Sony Channel showcases “the finest selection of European drama series” including Poldark, Baron Noir and Call My Agent!

Animax aims to deliver the best Anime shows from Japan including Sailor Moon Crystal, Sword Art Online and Erased.
