M2A Media, Mediability take Nordics into the Cloud

Partnership allows viewers to access VoD content via a full range of devices minutes after broadcast

M2A Media and Mediability have partnered to offer Cloud-based live services for sport and entertainment content in the Nordic region.

With their operations already used by the BBC, ITV and DAZN, M2A Media harnesses the scalability of the Cloud to create high-quality digital assets from live SD, HD and 4K content.

The partnership will therefore allow viewers in the region to access VoD content via a full range of devices minutes after broadcast, the speed allowing broadcasters to monetise those assets at the peak of their demand.

Marina Kalkanis, M2A Media CEO, said: “As we expand our international operations, choosing the right partners is incredibly important to us. Therefore we are delighted to collaborate with Mediability.

“The Mediability team has the right combination of technical expertise and market knowledge to support the value of M2A’s offering to the Nordic region.  We look forward to working closely with the team in Scandinavia, as our presence in the region grows.”

Mediability CEO Stian Elde added: “We look forward to offering the excellent live streaming and live capture solutions from M2A to our customers in the Scandinavian market.

“M2A has a proven track record in supporting broadcasters and sports rights holders, which is a perfect match with Mediability and our systems integration services.”
