Apple is reportedly planning to start selling subscriptions to streaming services through its TV app.
According to Bloomberg, it would mean users could sign up for streaming services via the Apple TV app, rather than having to subscribe via apps downloaded for its store. In other words, allowing them to manage all subscriptions through the one app.
Bloomberg also suggests Apple could eventually move the streaming to its own app, instead of sending users to third parties – possibly as soon as next year.
Moving the subscriptions, and possible streaming, to within its own app would position Apple along the same lines as Amazon Channels.
Apple declined to comment on the report.
