Amazon Channels, Amazon’s pay-TV service, will launch in France on 30th May.
The service is already available in both the UK and Germany. It allows Amazon subscribers to sign up for specific channels without paying for a bundle or contract.
The French version is expected to launch with 40 channels, with each subscription expected to cost between €3-5. Local channels likely to be available at launch include Canal J, TiJi and MCM as well as channels from Mediawan. US content is likely to include Starzplay.
According to reports, more channels are expected to join the service by September.
