Germany’s 3 Screen Solutions (3SS) has partnered with Technicolor to launch pre-integrated hardware-middleware-front end Android TV offerings for faster service launches in a broad range of markets.
The combined solution includes 3SS’s 3READY custom launcher and fully supports Android P for DVB, IPTV or OTT including on-device as well as cloud-to-cloud Google Assistant deployments.
The solution draws on the companies’ international Android TV based system deployments, including the Com Hem TV Hub, the first-ever hybrid Android TV Operator Tier system, based on Android N.
“Android TV is being chosen as an ideal platform to power next generation TV experiences for an increasing number of subscribers worldwide,” said Mercedes Pastor, president Global CPE Business Unit at Technicolor.
