ZDF and Blue Order agree on cooperation

German broadcaster Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF) and MAM specialist Blue Order have decided to expand their long term partnership by agreeing on a strategic cooperation.

German broadcaster Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF) and MAM specialist Blue Order have decided to expand their long term partnership by agreeing on a strategic cooperation.

Both parties will exchange their ideas concerning major developments in the area of enterprise wide DAM for broadcast and in the whole field of production technology utilised by media companies. Moreover ZDF and Blue Order will closely work together on their planned TV production and product solution plans.

At ZDF, Blue Order has already integrated its digital archive system for programme material and digital archive for audio. Blue Order’s DAM system is thus already an essential part of the integrated file-based TV production environment at ZDF. Therefore both corporations will work closely together to face all future requirements and the design of complex technical migrations – like the midterm integration of an HDTV production infrastructure.

On management, operative and technical levels, ZDF and Blue Order will intensively discuss market trends and the latest developments in the broadcast area.

“ZDF is a very important customer for us. We appreciate to have a long term and intensive relationship in place. Our agreement to strategically cooperate will enable Blue Order to evolve our core product Media Archive consequently into an enterprise wide and integrated platform while learning the ZDF requirements and focusing on the important topics”, says Dr. Wilhelm Krueger, chief operating officer, Blue Order Solutions AG.
