Sony will use this year’s BVE to showcase its latest products and technologies for 4K production, as well as presenting its cloud production system Ci in the UK for the first time. The company’s PXW-Z100, NEX-FS700R and NEX-FS700RH will all be on show for visitors to Sony’s stand, and its most recent technologies in audio, display, and HD acquisition will also be on show.
The PXW-Z100 aims to bring 4K shooting within reach of a much wider audience, with new low price points. The NEX-FS700R and FS700RH also add 4K acquisition capability to the NEX-FS700, the camera of choice for many production professionals due to its slow motion shooting capability. Sony’s F-series large sensor cameras – the PMW-F5 and PMW-F55 4K digital cameras – will also be at the show.
“Sony’s latest 4K solutions bring high resolution beauty to productions of all sizes,” said David Cheesman, sales manager north for Sony’s media products. “Our range of 4K cameras mean that 4K is now a reality for everyone, from one-man shooting teams to Hollywood blockbusters. At BVE, visitors will be able to see for themselves the products set to transform the future of production, and we welcome people to come and feel the beauty of 4K first-hand.”
After its European debut at IBC 2013, BVE represents the first UK showing of Sony’s cloud production solution Ci, enabling content storage, editing, and management via the cloud, through 3G, 4G, LTE, or WiFi internet connections.
Other Sony products making their UK debut include the Hybrid Digital Processing UWP-D wireless microphone series; full HD multi-format LCD monitors, LMD-A series; and NXCAM HXR-NX3 professional handheld HD camcorder, with built-in WiFi technology.
