Danish TV2/Fyn has been supplied with Marquis Broadcast’s software toolkit, Medway. Covering the island of Funen, the regional television station is one of eight associated with public broadcaster TV2/Danmark. Medway now allows integration and content transfer between TV2/Fyn’s Avid editing system and its archive.
“Medway provides enhanced control and speeds up workflows,” explained Simon Fearn, project manager, Marquis Broadcast. “Medway works by delivering a seamless integration between broadcast content applications. In this case, it enables users to look for content on the archive system and move it into the edit suite.”
“Medway can then transfer the finished content to multiple platforms or to the transmission server for broadcast,” continued Fearn. “In other words, Medway unifies multi-vendor systems’ workflows that optimise and integrate media clip and sequence transfers, in addition to managing media format conversion and transcoding, and metadata capture and integration.”
Ken Petersen, technical manager TV2/Fyn added: “We were impressed with how Medway worked at our TV/Midt-Vest facility. Now, Medway saves us time and enables easy access to content and material transfer at TV2/Fyn.”
