Speakers confirmed for Next TV Summit

A number of keynote and panel speakers have been confirmed for the Next TV Summit, which arrives in London on 19 November after successful events in both San Francisco and New York.

 A number of keynote and panel speakers have been confirmed for the Next TV Summit, which arrives in London on 19 November after successful events in both San Francisco and New York.

Presenting at the event will be Ashley MacKenzie, CEO of Base79, the digital rights management agency. MacKenzie began his career in advertising at Carat (UK), before becoming a founding director of Entertainment Marketing. In 1998 he joined an MBI team as sales controller for Talk Radio, before becoming general manager for TalkSPORT. The company grew into The Wireless Group and he took responsibility as group managing director for Independent Local Radio, employing 400 people with a turnover of £21million. Prior to founding Base79 in July 2007, he led the commercial operations of Music Choice, a provider of interactive music channels that reach over 100 million people worldwide.

Patrice Slupowski (pictured), vice president of Digital Innovation & Communities running NExT.com, the team of the New Growth Businesses Division of the Orange – France Telecom group, will appear in a panel at the Next TV Summit. Slupowski is a marketing expert in web 2.0, social networks, social TV, connected TV, wellness and personal data services and mobile multimedia services. He founded Waptoo in 1999, creating WAP and mobile services and proposing automated mobile testing software for companies including Orange and Bouygues Telecom.

Other confirmed speakers and panellists include Charlotte Hargreaves, SVP Marketing and Digital Innovation and Communities, Orange; Kai Henniges, CEO, Viewster; Geoff Inns, VP and managing director UK, CBS Interactive; and Jens Richter, managing director, Red Arrow International.
