Simplestream has agree a partnership deal with sports distributor MP & Silva.

The company, which provides live streaming and live-to-VoD solutions, will enable MP & Silva’s sports federations, clubs and media clients to maximise audiences via multiscreen and OTT video services.

It will support the sports distributor’s ‘technology services ecosystem’ by developing live streaming, real-time highlights clipping, catch-up, social syndication and subscription management services whenever needed.

Damon Garwood, managing director of digital and technology services, MP & Silva, said, “Having Simplestream as a preferred partner within our Ecosystem allows us to extend the services and solutions available to our federation and media clients to maximise sports content to global fan bases.

“This includes a growing number of consumers who are always connected and wish to consume on every screen available.

“With this and all of our partnerships we’re excited to extend our ability to deliver any content to any screen and anyone anywhere in the world to the highest quality.”

Simplestream’s services will be delivered to a range of high-profile customers in the MP & Silva portfolio, including the FIFA World Cup, Arsenal, and the NFL and NBA.

Adam Smith, Simplestream founder and CEO, said, “Sport is first and foremost a social experience, so it is incredibly important for organisations to be able to connect directly with fans wherever they are.

“MP & Silva work with some of the world’s biggest names in sport and we are proud to be partnering with them to support their Technology Services across multiple sports and territories.

“By extending distribution to digital platforms, rights holders can extend fan engagement and bring premium content to new markets.”
