Omroep Zeeland deploys Axon’s master control SynMC

Axon Digital Design has supplied its first master control system SynMC in the Netherlands to Omroep Zeeland.

Axon Digital Design has supplied its first master control system SynMC in the Netherlands to Omroep Zeeland.

Founded in 1990 Omroep Zeeland broadcasts audio and video 24/7. The broadcaster previously operated without a master control, and by choosing the Axon SynMC aimed to improve quality, continuity and efficiency, whilst reducing costs.

Through one of its channel partners, D&MS, AXON supplied the Synapse-based SynMC master control module together with AXON’s monitoring and control software Cerebrum. The combination of SynMC and Cerebrum enables Omroep Zeeland to fulfil its master control requirements against a lower cost than previously, but still with the same high quality and stability it was used to, the company claims. The installed system also has a high redundancy and is equipped for manual override.

“When we wanted to install a master control system we turned to Axon because of their proven stability and reliability of their products”, said Alex Bogaert (pictured) project manager Media and ICT at Omroep Zeeland. “Our system integrator D&MS integrated the Axon products with our other products to facilitate our master control requirements”.

Achievement in Systems Integration is just one of the 13 awards to be presented at Thursday’s TVBAwards. DR TS Infrastruktur Mediearkiv, Cambridge Imaging Systems, Avid and Nativ are all up for the honour. The TVBAwards is the first event of its type from TVBEurope and TV Technology and takes place at the London Hilton Wembley next Thursday 23 October. A full list of nominees can be found via the website – find out who scoops what and enjoy an evening out with colleagues by purchasing your tickets now!
