TVBEurope has produced video interviews with two speakers from this year’s IT Broadcast Workflow conference, which took place on 9 July at BAFTA, central London.
Kevin Burrows, Digital Production Partnership Technical Standards lead and CTO, Broadcast and Distribution, Channel 4, features in the first part of the video. He discusses the DPP’s work on broadcast workflow, playout and QC. The DPP has organised forums to raise awareness, working with manufacturers to introduce standards and created a universal file-based delivery standard for broadcasters. Burrows also comments on how organisation is also looking ahead at loudness and automated QC.
The second part of the video Andy Tennant, DPP Board member and Technology director, Studios, ITV. Tennant talks about the practical implication of AS-11 used for the delivery of file-based content to broadcasters. By the end of 2014, broadcasters would only like to receive AS-11 files.
