The French Tennis Federation has announced it will take TV coverage of the annual Roland Garros tournament in-house from 2021.
The FFT said after a consultation process, it has granted HBS France Production host broadcaster status for the French Open from 2021-23, meaning it will be responsible for coverage for over 150 broadcasters worldwide.
It also confirmed plans to “pursue innovation initiatives” over the time period.
The change of host broadcaster coincides with a rights package in France that will see matches shared between France Télévisions and Amazon.
