Cinedeck LLC, developer of capture systems for motion picture and broadcast production, will showcase the full range of its rack-mounted and portable solid-state recording, monitoring and playback systems at IBC2012. These include the European premiere of the new Cinedeck MX multi-channel recorder (pictured), plus the latest v3.5 versions of the Cinedeck RX Broadcast and RX Cine/444, and the Cinedeck EX.

Cinedeck MX, RX Broadcast, RX Cine/444 and EX systems deliver codec choice and operational toolsets, creating ready-to-edit files, which eliminate time-consuming ingest/transcode processes and enable the fastest production-to-post workflows available. Along with small form factors, they all feature Cinedeck’s intuitive touchscreen interface, reducing training time and speeding deployment. Cinedeck RX Cine/444 and Cinedeck EX also include Cinedeck’s new 3D stereo visualisation and monitoring tools, which meet production demand for on-set/near-set playback and checking of 3D stereo material as soon as it has been shot.

Cinedeck MX is a new rack-mountable, multi-channel, solid-state recording, monitoring and playback system, offering codec versatility and extreme workflow performance to broadcast and post production facilities. It is the ideal, cost-effective replacement for the tapedeck, while delivering the full advantages of file-based workflow, natively recording into more codec formats than any other system. Cinedeck MX fits directly into existing facility architectures, and one single system can be configured to supersede multiple tapedecks.

Making its IBC debut, Cinedeck RX now has two configurations, both featuring additional codec support, to meet the different needs of the broadcast and digital cinema markets. The new Cinedeck RX Broadcast is focused on ease of integration into broadcast, mobile OB and multi-camera workflows. Cinedeck RX Cine/444 (the original Cinedeck RX model) supports high-res workflows more typical in digital cinema production. Cinedeck RX Cine/444 also includes Cinedeck’s new 3D stereo visualisation and monitoring tools.

Another IBC debut is Cinedeck v3.5, which extends multi-codec support to include popular native HD camera formats, and also enables control via a range of third-party devices. These now include XD-Cam/AVC-Intra codecs, plus third-party control functionality via USB. This release also includes Cinedeck’s new 3D stereo visualization monitoring tools.
