Cherryduck Studios launches creative workspace

The Nest is dedicated to TV production and post

Wapping-based Cherryduck Studios (formerly known as Tower Bridge Studios) has opened a new creative space aimed at the TV production and post production industries.

The Nest includes a 24-hour full-service post production facility of four private edit/grading suites, a voiceover sound studio and gallery, screening rooms and communal space for up to 50 individuals.

Each private editing/grading suite features a choice of HP Z840 2×12 core processors, 64GB RAM, 8GB GPU or Apple iMacPro with 10Gb connection to GBLabs HyperSpace allowing for 4K editing and grading.

The Nest also includes a full Adobe Creative Cloud suite, DaVinci Resolve system with Mini panel as well as 2 x Eizo EV2750 and 1 x Eizo CG248 4k reference monitor, with a separate 49” LG 4K TV for client viewing.

Cherryduck Studios and media content solutions business New Media Research (NMR) have also collaborated to create a bespoke server system dedicated to The Nest’s edit suites. The system utilises GB Labs’ Space, Hyperspace, Echo and Mini Vault LTO technology, delivering high end performance and security.

“With the surge in demand for digital content, the explosion in the number of new TV production companies, London’s wealth of young creative post production talent and the ever-growing need to collaborate with other creative sectors, we feel The Nest will prove to be a popular high-quality workspace hub just around the corner from Shoreditch,” said Cherryduck Studios CEO James Vellacott.
