BBC Studioworks has announced its work on 17 upcoming Christmas specials, an increase of 21 per cent from 2018 and 89 per cent from 2017.
Studio TC1 at Television Centre has played host to the seasonal specials of QI, The Graham Norton Show, The Jonathan Ross Show and The Last Leg, while Studio TC2 has facilitated Christmas editions of Sunday Brunch.
The BBC Elstree Centre facility has hosted Christmas and New Year specials of EastEnders, as well as the following at Elstree D:
- Blockbusters
- Romesh’s Look Back To The Future
- Top of the Pops
- Ball & Boe: A Very Merry Christmas
- 8 Out of 10 Cats
- Take Off with Bradley & Holly
The Elstree Studios hub also facilitated festive editions of Pointless at Elstree 8; The Chase, Celebrity Juice and Big Fat Quiz of the Year at Elstree 9; and the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special at George Lucas Stage 2.
