At IBC2015 Broadcast Solutions and Movicom, a manufacturer of special camera solutions including the RobyCam 3D aerial cable camera system, signed a contract for the exclusive distribution through the German system integration company. Broadcast Solutions from now on will be handling all sales and rental business for the RobyCam product family in several regions.
RobyCam is an aerial cable system that offers a combination of robotic winches, gyrostabilised camera heads and advanced computational algorithms, which allow a camera to follow any 3D trajectory within the working area.
Since its introduction into the market in 2008 the system has been used in sports, concerts and other major events. Recent productions include FINA Swimming World Championships 2015, Russia; The X-Factor, Italy 2015; Coppa Italia Final 2015, Italy, several major concerts in Japan and covering the sermons during the Holy Month of Ramadan in the Sheik Zahid Mosque in Abu Dhabi, the biggest mosque in the United Arab Emirates.
Apart from Robycam, the portfolio of Movicom includes rail and cable camera systems and gyrostabilised camera heads of different sizes, ranging from Polecam-compatible to heads for studio cameras.
